Adult Tap Awards

If Ladies wish to take Exams (and even if not) we work with the I.D.T.A Adult Tap Syllabus.
These are Bronze - 3rd Gold Bar, followed by 5 Star Awards
and 4 President Awards.
After this Duo and Trio Awards can be taken in same order as above
(specific descriptions of the Tests are listed below)

All Awards Info

Bronze to Gold Medals are two 8 Bar Amalgamations & one Dance (1min30)
1st to 3rd Gold Bar are the same but more difficult & a Dance of 2min
Bronze to Gold receive a Medal
(Green, Blue and Red)
1st & 2nd Gold Bars receive a Plaque and 3rd Gold Bar is a Cup
Star & President Awards both comprise of two 2 minute Dances.
Star Awards are 2 Dances of differing styles (Irish, Jive etc..)
with Props and Costumes.
President Awards are
'Varied Style & Tempo' & 'Depicting a Theme'
1st Star recipients receive a Shield with the Star affixed and for the remaining 4 Star Awards you receive a Star to add to your Shield
President Awards are Cups in ascending sizes
Duo & Trio Awards are the same order as above & the same Awards 

I.D.T.A MARKING SYSTEM:
64 OR LESS  (UNSUCCESSFUL)
65-74  (PASS)
75 - 79  (COMMENDED)
80 - 84  (HIGHLY COMMENDED)
85 AND ABOVE  (HONOURS)
